Riparian sculptures come and go with the tides. Twice daily they are fully exposed by the tides. Twice daily their substance and foundation are swept by the tides. In some respects, they are monuments to time, gently decaying in the elements. This, of course, is where photography comes into its own. Photography is the archwitness of traces.
